We are pleased to announce the launch of our second pilot program in the Harish after-school program. The pilot includes two kindergarten classes and the after-school programs for first and second-grade students at the "Challenges of the Future" elementary school in Harish. 22 after-school staff members have begun training after operational hours to learn the program developed by “Games for the Future” from the Accord Center. The program has been adapted for after-school settings and offers a wide range of activities for children in the afternoon.
Through the program, children learn about the diversity of Israeli society and the cultural richness of the community in which we live. The children are taught to respect others and to enjoy a multicultural society.
This is the second pilot launched by Heznek 800, following the successful first pilot last month in Rosh HaAyin. Both pilots are accompanied by the Adva Institute, an independent institute that measures and evaluates the outcomes of the pilot.
The pilot in Harish was initiated thanks to a fruitful collaboration with the Education Department of Harish Municipality, Kito Merom which operates the after-school programs in the city, the Urban Kibbutz, and thanks to "Games for the Future" and the Accord Center.
